Reviewing 10 bestselling Floral Street perfumes – From Arizona Bloom to Vanilla Orchid

Surprisingly, not all are floral...

Floral Street

Let’s be honest, the cost of perfumes has gotten out of hand. I’m more aware of this than ever before because, the other day, I went to spritz one of my fave perfumes (Le Labo Thé Noir, in case you’re interested) for a friend while I was in Selfridges. I did a double take when I saw that it was now £234 Great British pounds for 100ml. I beg your pardon? It’s why the Cosmo beauty team is dedicated to finding you fab alternatives if you aren’t in the market for dropping that much on a fragrance. It’s actually how we came across Floral Street.

With prices starting at just £29 for an eau de parfum (aka a fragrance with a pretty potent amount of perfume oil in it compared to an eau de toilette) it’s such an affordable brand with a vast array of perfume types from floral (natch) to fruity and gourmand. Also, something that I think is so cool is that, to ease the buying process of perfumes online, which is tricky let’s be honest, is that when you buy a full sized bottle on Floral Street’s website, the package includes a small sample so you can test the scent with the sample and if you hate it, you can return the unused, unopened bottle for a full refund! I was so impressed with the range but I have picked out the top 10 below that you need to smell asap...

How we test

I tested the perfumes for a range of characteristics. I sprayed first thing in the morning and noted the lasting power through the day. I also looked out for how much the scent changed after the dry down and if it smelled different on my clothes vs on my skin. I also noted the projection (aka how powerful the scent is).

How long do Floral Street Perfumes last?

I would say that, on average, the scents last a good few hours before I found myself wanting to respritz. It’s not the strongest for an EDP but definitely lasted longer than the average eau de toilette or cologne.

Best Floral Street Perfumes

A few of my favourite Floral Street perfumes

Arizona Bloom Eau De Parfum

arizona bloom eau de parfum
Floral Street, Furn

Fragrance family: Musk

Key notes: Coconut, jasmine and salted musks

Probably the most well known Floral Street perfume, this is so summer-coded without being super sweet or innately beachy. It’s a really warm skin-scent laced with coconut and jasmine for pure summer vibes – I'm a huge fan.

Price: £74 for 50ml

Glowing customer review: “I hate, seriously, tropical suntan lotion type coconut in fragrance. I used the Suave coconut shampoo and conditioner for so many years as a kid I built an aversion to it. Thankfully, this is not that at all. It is dry, more coconut water, with smooth almost creamy wood. In the Houston humidity it is so refreshing because it is the literal opposite, dry, yet smooth creamy deliciousness.”

Wonderland Peony Eau De Parfum

wonderland peony eau de parfum floral street review
ACCOOPER NEG & PRINT

Fragrance family: Floral

Key notes: Blackcurrant, candy floss and pink pepper

Price: £74 for 50ml

This really feels like it could sit perfectly in the Ariana Grande perfume line up. it’s so light, fruity and floral, if you like your scents on the super feminine side you’ll love this. I think it’s the scent I had to respritz the most as the longevity isn’t the best but the travel size is so handy it with fine to fling in my handbag.

Glowing customer review: “It's fabulous. I love it!! The smell isn't too sweet for me. I've been looking for a more sustainable brand perfume and this one speaks to me.”

Wild Vanilla Orchid Eau De Parfum

wild vanilla orchid eau de parfum
ACCOOPER NEG & PRINT

Fragrance family: Woody

Key notes: Vanilla bean, jasmine petals and ambroxan amber

Price: £74 for 50ml

If a scent has amber, ambroxan, ambrette or any of that family tree in it I’m all over it so naturally this was love at first spritz. The warm of the vanilla it immediate but as it dries it actually smells pretty woody and unisex.

Glowing customer review: “Scent smells fabulous! I’ve been using it for years and get so many compliments! It is a little floral, a little vanilla and a little spice but not too much of any of them. Just the perfect combo! I’m super sensitive to scent and this one is just fantastic! Also packaging and bottle are so gorgeous too! Love floral street!”

Sweet Almond Blossom Eau De Parfum

sweet almond blossom eau de parfum
Richard Green

Fragrance family: Floral

Key Notes: Apple blossom, vanilla bean, pink pomelo

Price: £74 for 50ml

I’m not the biggest fan of florals (yes, I know, weird for me to then choose to review a brand called Floral Street) but I find some of them way too powdery and grandma-y but this is far from it. The scent is a mellow floral with the zestiness of the pomelo giving the dry down a fresh kick.

Glowing customer review: “I love the Sweet Almond Blossom Perfume. It’s a beautiful fragrance. Not too floral, with some sweetness. I wish there was more staying power with it, but when a perfume is clean, you can’t expect it to hold as long as those with chemicals in it. You will love it!”

Sunflower Pop Eau De Parfum

Richard Green

Fragrance family: Fruity

Key notes: Mandarin, bergamot and bellini accord

Price: £74 for 50ml

Errr I’m not really sure where sunflowers come into this as this is ALL citrus, all the time. It bursts out on first spritz with the mandarin and bellini accord taking centre stage. It settles slightly but the zestiness still remains.

Glowing customer review: “Sunflower Pop is a fabulous scent. It's zingy and crisp, it really lifts me everytime I smell it. It genuinely brightens my day!”

Black Lotus Eau De Parfum

ACCOOPER NEG & PRINT

Fragrance family: Spicy

Key notes: centifolia rose, papyrus, saffron

Price: £74 for 50ml

If you love rose scents but are looking for one with less powder and more depth you have to try this. It’s almost a little smoky at first spray but as it dries you can really smell the rose. Rose-fans this is calling for your date nights!

Glowing customer review: “I love this perfume because it smells different to everyone else. I’ve had loads of compliments on it. I’ve used Chypre Sublime for years and wanted something similar but not quite so heavy/eveningy.”

Ylang Ylang Espresso Eau De Parfum

ylang ylang espresso eau de parfum
ACCOOPER NEG & PRINT

Fragrance family: Gourmand

Key notes: ylang ylang, coffee, tiramisu

Price: £74 for 50ml

All I could smell at first spray was pure coffee, a creamy, milky latte vibe and while I’m all for the smell of fresh coffee I haven’t never particularly wanted to smell like one. Luckily as this dries down the ylang ylang really pushes through making it a fresher take on gourmand fragrance.

Glowing customer review: “had no idea what this would actually smell like however i think it will become my new favourite.”

Chypre Sublime Eau De Parfum

chypre sublime eau de parfum
ACCOOPER NEG & PRINT

Fragrance family: Woody, floral

Key notes: incense, patchouli, damask rose

Price: £74 for 50ml

A date night perfume if I have ever smelt one, you’ll love this if you are a fan of woody scents but are looking for something a little more feminine. The rose really is the shining stare of this scent, note-wise so if you aren’t a rose fan, I doubt it’ll be for you.

Glowing customer review: “This is a lovely scent; fresh floral notes coupled with a real warming feel. I had one of the small bottles and got complimented on it whenever I wore it a now I’ve upgraded to a bigger bottle. It sits along side my other Floral Street scents to give me lots of options when it come to which scent to pick each day!”

Electric Rhubarb Eau De Parfum

electric rhubarb eau de parfum
Floral Street

Fragrance family: Floral

Key notes: Rhubarb, gardenia, sandalwood

Price: £74 for 50ml

The creaminess of the sandalwood is the first thing you get when you spray this but after a while it morphes into a gorgeous floral scent. Like a bouquet of flower in full bloom.

Glowing customer review: “I adore rhubarb in ALL forms so I was VERY happy to discover this scent! I don't wear it as an everyday as I love it too much but I always whip it out for any occasions!”

Iris Goddess Eau De Parfum

ACCOOPER NEG & PRINT

Fragrance family: Floral

Key notes: Orris flower, peach and lemon

Price: £74 for 50ml

For me, this is pure Parma Violets on first spritz, I couldn’t smell any lemon or peach and it’s baffling to me that this contains no violets in the notes but hey that’s how fragrances work. This is for you if you are after something super powdery and soft and girly.

Glowing customer review: “I absolutely love this perfume from the first moment I found it years ago! and it has been my favourite ever since. I have tried many others but this one still remains my firm number one ❤️”
